SPRING 2017 NEWSLETTER

WHAT'S UP PARTY PEOPLE

Welcome to the New Members!

Congratulations on your pinning ceremony and welcome (officially) to the chapter! Please please PLEASE hold on to your pins! Keep them in a safe place and try not to lose them! You will need them later on in the semester! But welcome welcome welcome and we're so glad you're here!

FIRST AND FOREMOST,

BEHOLD - RULES AND REGULATIONS

Please refer to this link, or the "Rules and Regulations" tab here on the blog to go over the rules for Service Projects and Fellowships. These rules also fall under every service project and fellowship description, and these rules are binding. Please familiarize yourself with them, and if you have questions or concerns, please feel free to email Service, Fellowship, or the President.

Overall, these rules are final. Let me be real for a second - okay? (Stay with me I'll be fun again in a second I promise).

I'm from Hawai'i. In Hawai'i, there is a principle or moral that we all stick to in our culture, and it's called kuleana. Kuleana is the value of responsibility. It is about self-motivation and self-reliance. It's about accepting our responsibility with deliberate intent and with diligence. We want to be held accountable. Responsibility seeks opportunity. We have the opportunity to be part of this organization and to accomplish great things together, and we do that THROUGH our service projects and fellowships. That is how we solidify our responsibilities in this chapter. Let's take care of that opportunity, okay?

We're all adults. We're all responsible and accountable for ourselves. We make our own decisions. Let's all just keep that in mind.

Okay. I love you all. Hugs and kisses and roses and chocolate. Moving on.
