Shoutout to Mackensie Coakley, Abbey Mac & Hannah Shuman for being the top three fundraisers for our team!
Apparel has been voted on! The crew neck will cost $16 and be available until APRIL 12th- they will not be available after this date so get them quick! They will also be available in all THREE colors! PR will be adding a google doc the the Facebook page once they are up in the MUB ticket office for you to add your color and size so be on the lookout for that and cop your apparel!
What to expect at Relay- brought to you by your Fundraising Co Chairs:
Opening Ceremony (11am): starts by honoring everyone who's been affected by cancer and everyone who has contributed to the success of this year's Relay season.
Survivor/Caregiver Walk: people line the track and cheer on both the survivors and their caregivers as they start the laps.
Luminaria Ceremony: this ceremony represents everyone touched by cancer with a Luminaria. Each light represents a life—a life taken by cancer, a survivor of cancer, or a support for a person still fighting the disease. It's a powerful demonstration that gives people the opportunity to grieve but also offers comfort and hope. This can be a very emotional time and not everyone is comfortable being put in this situation which is 100% okay.
Closing Ceremony: closing ceremony is the time to commit to take action and help lead the fight for a world free from cancer. It's a time to celebrate what we've accomplished together and a time to unify for the work that needs to be done moving forward.
During this event all the different groups walking set up fundraising tables around the track with different items being sold. I highly advise bringing money because there’s always a lot of really cool stuff. UNH Relay for life committee also puts together several different performances and activities to keep the walkers entertained throughout the night.
Also make sure to have good walking shoes and comfortable clothes!!
