Febrrrrruary is over!
Helllllooooo APO! It is the last chapter of February :( The semester is flying by...
Okay let's get to it - here's an overview of what happened at chapter:
The value of the week is Friendship! One of APO's core values and very important in our Theta Zeta chapter - you are all amazing and make this fraternity an incredible place
Brother Positivity, Sarah Shaw, is back at it again with a Mental Health Minute! Going along with the week's theme, friendship is amazing and being connected is great! BUT, your friends can only do so much to support you. PACS is UNH's Psychological and Counseling Services center, they are mental health professionals! Please go see them if you feel like you need to! All UNH students have 8 free sessions!
Emma Bragg, our Waysmeet Liaison spoke to us about Larry Brickner-Wood's going away party.
It will be held Friday February 28th from 5-8 pm at the Community Church of Durham! There are service hours for setting up and cleanup. Also, drop of food to the front office of the Waysmeet center any time on Friday.
Below is Emma's speech she wrote, take this survey to give your input!
Fellowship wants you to host a fellowship and send them ideas! They have some really cool fellowships every day this week (including 2 CHIPOTLE opportunities supporting other student orgs!)
Banquet Committee starts next week! It will be Wednesdays from 12:30 to 1:30 pm in the APO Office - take this SURVEY if interested :)
NME is very excited for REVEAL next chapter!!!!! GET PUMPED!!!! Bigs, do what you know you gotta do! PNMs, please be on time to your meeting Sunday - you have a quiz!
Membership would like to say thank you to everyone who went to Bros4Bros it was #epic
Next up = RETREATTTTT! See below for info and take survey!
The winning apparel items were...... hoodies & baseball hats!!!! Submit designs to PR by Sunday night! We will be voting next chapter!
P.S. if your design is the winner - you will get a free item of that design! So get going! contact PR or go to their office hours Thursday 12-1 pm to ask questions!
Service has a bunch of opportunities coming up! Sign up on APO Online and keep up on your hours.
A few important reminders:
1) Double Dipping is not allowed. If you are representing another org, you can not also get APO service hours for that event. (Example = you are a member of the Zoological Society and they are holding an event that is on APO Online, you cannot also get a service hour for being there)
2) If you are on the waitlist - don't go unless you receive a notification that someone is no longer attending. Events are capped for a reason, often because the hosts of the service project only request a limited number of volunteers!
If you're interested in CONCLAVE - fill out this application! Anika and the rest of the executive board will be reviewing them and you could have APO pay for your registration fee!
It's time for some Relay for Life Updates from Fundraising! Keep up the good work everyone! If you haven't yet registered - look at the Facebook group or previous newsletters on instructions on how to sign up and raise money for our team :)
A whole bunch of brothers and PNMs are rocking it and flipping the whitt right now! There is still space to sign up Tuesday night and more opportunities coming soon!
The more people we have the more money we raise!
Also, take this survey about Coffee Craving!
Due were due tonight and will be updated on APO Online by tomorrow! If you weren't at chapter and paid on Monday - please be sure to contact our Treasurer Gabriella!
GO TO BYLAWS COMMITTEE WITH MOLLY! she is the bomb.com! It is Tuesday 2:30 - 3:30 pm in the APO Office, be there or be square!
Our historian, the one the only, Sophie Baker presents Brother & PNM of the Week! and Sunhine News! Boy is it bright & happy because there is a ton!
Update on the Points competition! Keep racking them up! There's new opportunities to get points!
